In August 2024, something remarkable is set to unfold. "Business Fit for Future," a government funded initiative, will kick off thanks to a successful consortium bid between the University of Bath, techSpark, and us at The Future Smiths.

Awarded by Wiltshire Council, these programmes are a concrete step towards achieving our shared goal of helping start-ups and rural hubs not just survive, but truly thrive.

Lighting the Path for Tomorrow's Leaders

Our task is twofold, yet intrinsically linked, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in Rural Hubs across the county and supporting local entrepreneurs. For rural hubs, our focus is on nurturing the sustainability of social enterprises and not-for-profit businesses that serve as the lifeblood of smaller rural communities. Meanwhile, our support for local entrepreneurs is designed to accelerate the creation and growth of start-ups.
